--Atmosphere-- The atmosphere is great. The caffé is in a really lovely and gorgeous garden with an old but gold building. The whole building gives a vintage and cozy house feeling. You should definitely visit here if you have the time. --Service-- Service was good and I liked it but I give 3 stars instead of 4 because they don't allow you to split the bill equally. Surely it is their choice if we are allowed to split the bill equally among customers. However it is my choice to deduct points from this lack of choice regarding the payment process. Other than that the staff was friendly and the service had no delays. --Food-- I had just the right amount of coffee with my americano with milk on the side, however the amount of coffee was vague regarding their special recipes so my friends looking for some caffeine didn't feel like they had less coffee than what they wanted.

We only had coffee. The place is amazing, such a gem, far away from the crowd and the touristy area. Coffee was ok. We found it by chance, and it was really nice to sit there and enjoy a coffee with so much greenery around. But the service is bad and the toilet is terrible in terms of cleanliness.

Caffé La Serra was such a beautiful spot for a late breakfast. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with the café nestled right next to a historic greenhouse filled with gorgeous plants. Sitting outside was refreshing and relaxing—a perfect way to start the day. We enjoyed delicious paninis, great coffee, and brioche, all in a charming atmosphere. After your food or drinks, definitely take time to explore the greenhouse. Highly recommend this little gem if you’re in Giardini.

This is my favourite cafe in all Venice in city that all is houses build on water you find a garden and a glass house, here actually the oldes building of biennale do Venezia. I wish it could be remain local but what in Venice could be away from tourist eys! Inside it's very small but you can be sit outside in garden in a sunny day. The staff are nice but they forgot to bring the biscuits served with cafe for me and even I asked they didn't maybe because they were busy.

Nestled in a quiet corner of Venice at Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, Caffè La Serra offers more than your typical cafe experience. This charming spot, housed in one of the oldest Biennale buildings, is a breath of fresh air amid the city’s bustling waterways and crowds. Its vintage architecture and a lush garden adjoining a historic greenhouse create a peaceful sanctuary perfect for savoring a thoughtfully curated menu.

The café excels with its balance of classic Italian beverages and flavorful bites. From a robust Espresso and creamy Cappuccino to the unique house specialty Spritz Select, each drink complements the tranquil ambiance. Their coffee selection, including Caffè Macchiato and Caffè Latte, caters well to varying palates, though some visitors have noted the caffeine intensity can vary with the café’s special brews.

Foodwise, Caffè La Serra delights with fresh, vibrant choices like the Toast Vegetariano, Insalata La Serra, and the hearty Clubsandwich. The house-made pastries—such as the rich Gateau Au Chocolat, assortment of Pasticcini Veneziani, and the exquisitely buttery Apple Pie—add a sweet finish that pairs beautifully with their hot drinks, especially the indulgent Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream. Each dish is a harmonious mix of traditional recipes and contemporary flair, echoing the café’s balance of history and modern comfort.

What truly sets this café apart is the setting. Sitting beneath greenery, with sunlight filtering through the glasshouse, creates a soothing atmosphere ideal for relaxation or quiet conversation. Many guests praise the calm and cozy vibe, enhanced by pleasant background music and friendly service. However, some have raised points about service nuances such as the inability to split bills or occasional overlook on small details during busy hours.

Visiting Caffè La Serra is not just about a meal; it’s about immersing yourself in a unique blend of Venice’s heritage, nature, and culinary craftsmanship. Whether you come for a morning coffee, a leisurely breakfast with brioche and paninis, or an afternoon Spritz, this café leaves a lasting impression as a hidden gem worth seeking out beyond the usual tourist paths.
